A beautiful spring week and spending lots of time outdoors and a nice weekend driving through the towns up here and browsing through favourite charity and second hand shops
Love this book!
An enormous rustic lantern which I am going to fill with candles
A couple of books for my collection of blue books
A vintage fabric covered box for my collection
I won a antique leather bound book...1822..on my very slow collection of leather books. It's been a year since the last one as I have a limit of $15. The earliest is 1730
In the garden this week
The spring garden is a few weeks from it's flowering peak yet but I am already picking some for the house already. A veg garden is in for summer cropping and I am enjoying the greenery while I can...a drought summer with heaps of heatwaves is predicted

Such beautiful photographs. Thanks for sharing the exquisite images. I almost feel as if I'm there!
ReplyDeleteYes absolutely beautiful photos! Your place looks so lovely and green but unfortunately you are right apparently this is going to be a very hot dry summer so we'll enjoy the green while we can!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
A hen parade. Lovely blooms - quite a variety. The lantern will be delightful on a summer night on the porch with candles softly glowing.
ReplyDeleteOh my, what lovely photos! The roses took my breath away and I simply love the old books. Thanks for sharing. Hugs and blessings!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photographs and beautiful finds!

What a lovely garden you have! You must have much more water than I and your flowers are so much earlier. My Irises are just in bud, as are my Foxgloves. Maybe my elevation in Mt.Pleasant is a little higher. Yes we are in for a corker this summer and I am too old and frail to carry water but I try.
ReplyDeleteLovely t hear from you, thanks.
Hi Arija...yes Mt Pleasant is in the rain shadow and a bit drier.....not having any rain since August is a worry....when we moved here last year we inherited an automatic watering system and we have used it already which we really don't want to do ( we have half an acre of garden and lawn)
DeleteLove, love, love the Sir Walter Scott book! And the lantern is great! Enjoyed the further peeks at your little paradise on Earth too. Thanks for linking up at Vintage Bliss Tuesdays. Jo
