My Boy

I call him pretty boy but he's actually a large  Austrian Amphora figure made around 1900 and he has a beautiful angelic face. Mum handed him over to me when she moved.

Australia Day Trip

We took a trip to the Adelaide Hills for the Australia Day Holiday and found a quaint second-hand shop in Mount Barker where I picked up this old trunk. It's a bit revolting inside but that's OK as I'm not going to use it for storage. Naturally Sascha had to check it out as soon as it was unloaded.

A garden Tip

Common Catmint is a great alternative to Lavender which gets a bit straggly.
We've had great success growing it and it quite drought resistant but softens a pathway

To Go or to Stay

It was love at first sight with this old vintage Thermos Flask from the Hong Kong Bottle Co
$5 at AW but not there's not really any room in my kitchen and not everyone in the house loves it like I do.
Im thinking I mightput it on my E-Bay page

More Favourite 2011 Finds

I found the tin trunk at an antique market still with it's original tags from the nun at a Monastary in Glen Osmond. I wonder what happened to Sister Mitchell. The cases from another antique market.
I found the antique silk and kid shoes from London in Oatlands Tasmania on my honeymoon, which is the most beautiful preserved  Georgian Town.
