thank you

Thank you to all my blog friends from  everywhere who left comments on my last post before we had to evacuate...it was very much appreciated by us
Usually I answer individually but I'm a bit tired

This is the road in to my town after we fled and taken by one of the volunteer firefighters ...900 from 3 states fighting an area the size of outer Paris
We left facing no home to come home to and I'm feeling blessed we were spared and traumatized still  at leaving my house and girls, with the clothes on our backs and Sascha in a cat cage. I am desperately sad for all the people who  were less lucky.

All pics from our back porch

Water bombing

Sunday...how the house on the hill survived I don't know

All around the town is black ...and it came up to the back door of the hospital

  3. I have been so worried about you. You have been in my thoughts, and I am glad you are safe. My heart goes out to those who were not as fortunate as you. Are the girls okay? I don't see a picture of the hens. Please tell me they made it.

  15. OMGosh, I am so sorry, what horrible devastation! So glad you did not lose your home and surrounding trees. We had a fire here last summer that was rather close. They evacuated a small town about 7 miles away so I was getting worried. But no one lost there homes.

  16. Oh my I'm so glad to hear you are safe without loss of life or property. It is such a hard thing for a community to pick itself up after such loss and devastation but I hope it can be done with courage and hope. Take care,
