I found the sweetest little aqua vintage typewriter in perfect condition ....she was very cheap
She is going to sit on top of my library card catalogue cupboard ( it has a bottle of wine in each draw)
I found this little navigation protractors , before Christmas , in a charity shop
In the garden this week
picking roses before the big heatwave
The girls sitting in the cool soil under the Golden Elm tree (temp is about 110)
apples,plums,nectarines and pears almost ripe
pumpkins and tomatoes
I am trying to stay calm as I finish this blog Saturday morning as the neighbouring towns around us are surrounded by bushfires. These pictures were taken from my back door yesterday afternoon and if the wind comes our way today the town have to leave our homes.
Here's hoping

I love the colour of the typewriter and the catalogue stand is wonderful. The bush fires must be frightening especially when they are so close. Take care, stay safe and hopefully you won't need to leave your home. Elaina xo

ReplyDeleteLove the little aqua typewriter. Those tomatoes look yummy. Stay safe and I pray you won't have to leave your lovely home because of the bushfires.
ReplyDeleteI have the same typewriter! It was my great grandmothers last one she owned. She was a long time writer ( she was born in 1891, and was writing since her teens, submitting short stories and songs everywhere) and her other typewriters are now long gone, but I'm happy to have this last one, that I remember sitting on her desk when I was a child in the 70s.
ReplyDeleteLove the typewriter! And the card catalog! Pick roses for Christmas, oh my!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to see the fires so close. Hope all stayed far away.
So happy to have found your blog.
What a threat wildfires are!!!! Hope that you and your home and neighbours are spared. Love the protractor. I always love when you post photos of your girls-where is Sascha? Love all of your fruit trees with their pending harvest....
ReplyDeleteSascha was dropped at a boarding vet clinic when we evacuated and hopefully picked up on Monday.
DeleteHi Meg!!!
