A Gifted Week

It wasn't my birthday this week but I received some lovely gifts
The very talented and lovely Zara from Zaranne Handmade sent me the most gorgeous bunting made from doilies

I was also given a lovely doiley and 2 Le Crueset Mini Cocotte Pots

We did a bit of shopping in Freedom Furniture and came home with some cushions and a table lamp

It's been a stressful week as far as the renovations went- the laundry cupboards were supposed to be installed Monday but the cupboards were the wrong size and had to be remade and reinstalled ....and were still not right ARGGGHHH
It is a tiny galley laundry and had no cupboards at all ( WHO does that?) all that was there was a sink.
We have a very small budget and we have put in cupboards below and above a laminate bench in simple clean look white and  Laminex called "Carrera"

We built a hen house to nestle into the backyard next to the espaliered fruit orchard and we'll make a new vegetable garden next to it and extend a run for  the chooks. It seems we have 9 viable eggs in our incubator!

The garden is coming to life with plants we haven't seen in flower yet and the last of the blossom is finished

9 from the dozen eggs is pretty good. Bet you're counting down the days to they hatch. x

  2. What a beautiful view! And blossom! Here in France, everything is beginning to brown and soon, the leaves will be falling.

  3. That bunting is gorgeous! And had you not said anything, I would have totally thought that counter was marble. Nice choice! I hope your renovations go smoother this week.

  4. I agree with Melissa; I thought the counter was real marble until I read your comments. It looks great! I am also drooling over that lamp, and the two pillows. Gorgeous!
