I found this antique mercury glass frame at a fair a while ago with a photo of a fierce looking Edwardian lady in it , and I finally got around to making a copy of my great grandparents wedding photo, to replace it. Much nicer!
Thank heavens Summer is drawing to a close although more heatwaves is probably still on the cards
The last of the summer roses opening and it's time to feed them for autumn

Your roses are looking gorgeous.Love the Romantic wedding photo of your grandparents.
ReplyDeleteLovely roses, Meg. My husband doesn't like them because of the thorns but I often go to the State Rose Garden which isn't far from here. The roses there are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy most beautiful rose is Nahema which is totally thornless with a divine fragrance xxx
DeleteHmmm, I might just have to do some arm twisting then as roses grow well here ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty to put your own grandparents in the old frame, love romantic picturers.
ReplyDeleteYour roses are going on and on they are really doing great.
always enjoy your photos of the girls strolling in the garden and of the most- handsome Sascha...great close-up...
ReplyDeleteIt's the first time in almost 2 weeks there is 4 of them together as Gertie has been broody all that time xxx
DeleteMy roses are not blossoming yet. Nothing is. I love old family photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about old photographs that makes them so sweet? Probably because a phot was so rare in those days. That being said, I am just bonkers about your photos. Keep 'em coming.
