What I bought for $23.50 Part 1

I had a fabulous trip to a close by country town and a charity shop which was bursting with cheap goodies and $5 a bag of stuff. This is part 1 of what I bought for a total of 23.50

3  gorgeous vintage silk baby dresses for my collection

3 tea cloths white linen with white embroidery

I will show the rest of my buys next week

We are having the exterior of the house repainted in April, and finally going to get rid of the yellowy cream paint (yeccchhhh) and with a red roof means our colour choices are limited. We painted the back posts a couple of colours and have decided on Dulux Stone. You can see the differences in these couple of pics

I love Glory Vine and it's finally starting to change colour

My girls are moulting and poor Nellie has completely lost her tail feathers

First Week of Autumn

Found this week on a day off drive with David, a big heavy date stamp with a wooden handle. I now have a collection of 2 to sit on my library catalogue cupboard

Our coffee table started off  all brown, then we painted it white on top and new handles, then when we out and about happened to walk into an Annie Sloan shop and came home with duck egg blue chalk paint and voila!

we were so thrilled to see rain clouds....but not a drop...we haven't had any since Jan

the white bird netting is still on the apple orchards over the back fence

sunset on the autumn roses

St Valentines roses  have been dried
