I had a fabulous trip to a close by country town and a charity shop which was bursting with cheap goodies and $5 a bag of stuff. This is part 1 of what I bought for a total of 23.50
3 gorgeous vintage silk baby dresses for my collection
3 tea cloths white linen with white embroidery
I will show the rest of my buys next week
We are having the exterior of the house repainted in April, and finally going to get rid of the yellowy cream paint (yeccchhhh) and with a red roof means our colour choices are limited. We painted the back posts a couple of colours and have decided on Dulux Stone. You can see the differences in these couple of pics
I love Glory Vine and it's finally starting to change colour
My girls are moulting and poor Nellie has completely lost her tail feathers

oh what a wonderful find. As a smocker and maker of baby dresses I can so appreciate the work that has gone into those sweeties. Your garden is looking so lovely. We were up in the hills last week and it was gently raining all day. We were envious as we didn't get any at the beach. The garden is looking so dry here.
ReplyDeleteOh your baby dresses are stunning. Are they very long? We have one in the family that we use as a Christening gown. It belonged to my Grandad. Is there a market for hiring them out I wonder? They're tooo lovely not to use. xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolute steal with the baby dresses. They appear to be in excellent condition, I can't wait to see what else you were able to snatch up. I'm loving your garden......it is a picture postcard.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful treasures and good luck with the painting.
