The First week of Autumn

The  weather in South Australia has been glorious...perfect for long drives and gardening
This is a sweet little vintage bridal headpiece for my collection .

I now have 6  and they are so sweet in an all white bedroom

This piece of old ribbon is so pretty, it was in drawer in an old dressing table at Vinnies with other tatty lace

In the garden this week we have started reshaping the back yard as we are able to have a bonfire on the 1dt of April . All the unattractive conifers and golden diosmas are being chainsawed as I speak

(Mr VL 's head in there with a chainsaw)

BEFORE

The Juniper was a monster....

 AFTER
We found  a soccer ball under it. All that stuff in front of the Prunus trees is branches from the one bush. The golden diosma is going to God this afternoon too!
Low growing attractive perennials will be across the edge of the lawn by next spring. And the flagpole is coming down.

Early morning

Clematis on the verandah

At least the clean washing wasn't in there this time!

  1. Your bridal headpieces are gorgeous - so pretty. Lovely clematis - it looks very healthy. You'll have fun planting up the borders once the conifers have gone - that'll be a big bonfire! Have a good weekend. X

  3. Hello Meg:

All those wonderful items in your White Bedroom look so very, very pretty. And isn't it terribly therapeutic to be rid of things in the garden which have either outgrown their allocated space or, more usually, one has ceased to love?

    Jó hétvégét!
