First Week of Spring

I found this vintage sweet jar for 10c in a charity shop . It is Bavarian porcelain which has been hand painted with an Adelaide picture

  1. I love the Colman's pot you are using for those beautiful flower, it looks like an old mustard pot that were originally made in Norwich. Love the vintage typewriter too.

    1. The typewriter was a steal and in mint condition . I bought it in Jan the same day the bushfire started never thinking the wind would change direction and head for our town and we would end up evacuating !

  2. Love seeing your shots! Here in the USA we are getting ready to exit summer and enter fall season! I will soon see colorful leaves of the autumn!

  3. My names Hayley and although I'm a teenager I love all things vintage! I'm also really happy I ran into your blog I love it! I have an old 50-60 lb typewriter (Remington-rand noiseless) and I absolutely love it! I thought yours was absolutely adorable, I love that color! Does it work?
I'm also loving the view and the flowers!
    Thanks for sharing,

  4. With visiting your blog, I get two tastes of Spring. Here, the Sycamores are teasing us with a few yellow leaves. Soon, the rest will show us their fall dresses — crimson and orange, along with the plentiful evergreens. We moved this past Friday, and we're in a sea of boxes, but we're staying afloat and working through the rooms. The kitchen, the most important room (next to the bedroom, of course), is almost done. I may be able to cook a little this evening. Say hi to the hens and pat the kittie for me!

  5. I just love the blossom - cheers me up no end, especially now that autumn is creeping in here in France... my dear OH has been tidying up the wood store, ready for our first delivery - and the chimney sweeps came last week! I love the colour of the old Remington typewriter too...

  6. Op shops are a great place for finding great little treasures. I have a weakness for coloured glass and have found some gorgeous pieces (and if they're vintage then even better). The blossoms look amazing on mass - beautiful.
