Mr VL and I  visited our favourite second-hand shop today and had a great fossick through. I found a white jug for my collection, a great vintage box wood folding ruler and an ancient pencil sharpener.
Mr VL bought a brass clinometer,which is a cool compass with a sight,and a spyglass telescope.

Collections Pt4

Another look at part of my collection of girlie pieces. Two pairs of victorian bloomers , a ladies boudoir cap,  a silk Edwardian blouse, my mothers silk horshoes from her wedding day. I have found most of these pieces on E-Bay from England

My favourite Blue and White Piece

For years my Mum had this large platter on her wall and I hankered after it forever. She finally let me have it and I wrote to Carter's Antique Magazine and found out it is 19th C Japanese and worth close to $1,000 so I keep it on the wall out of Sascha's way
