I scored a freebie this week ...a mercury glass jar with sweet leaf etching as well as an op shop milk glass comport....both to sit on my bedroom table. I try and keep my inner Rachel Ashwell yearnings to my bedroom where I let loose. It's a little harder in this new bedroom as it's half the size of the last house.
We have done a lot of planting this week including 3 new Hornbeam trees to screen the front yard a bit more
with warmer days the early morning light is soft and misty and at last the Golden Elm is leafing up
The roses are very slow and we don't know their names but I think I have scored a David Austin rose as well as dozens of white bush roses
We potted up blue Hydrangeas, "Pink Domino"Iris , "Pink Chiffon" petunias and herbs

ReplyDeleteohh lovely milk glass to add to your collection. x
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too much milk glass! Great job on the planting. I wish I could send you my rose bushes. They are very old and no matter how much neglect and abuse I inflict upon them, they will not die. I think they'd overtake the house if I didn't go at them with hedge trimmers every few months! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the mercury glass! I almost bought a mercury glass pumpkin the other day but talked myself out of it only because it doesn't go with the rest of my Fall/Halloween décor. I am going to regret it, I just know it!
