I found this sweet small brown and cream transfer ware tureen circa 1900 for $3 in my fave church shop ...I love the shell shaped handles.I have a small collection of this colour and I love it
It has been a hot week and I have spent the week pulling out or pruning and the garden is looking very parched
Hot dawn
A full moon on a very hot night
The girls cleaning up the nectarine windfall...we had a huge crop....happy not to eat another one for a year
Clematis
A few summer roses still
Sedum slowly turning pink
This little Williewagtail is too cute
Baby birds splashing on a very hot day
Was it something I said Sascha?

Meg, your photos just knock me out every time. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty, I am just starting to think about the garden as Spring is in the air. A great find at the thrift store.
ReplyDeleteThank you ...I am looking forward to Autumn and cooler weather xxx
DeleteYour photos are Beautiful as always , The baby birds ones especially stunning , You could win a photography competition with that one and that sedum plant is to die for , I am hoping to make a big impact in my garden this year but it will never match yours xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you ....I think my darling husband giving a great camera for my birthday has given me such pleasure, I just wish were not in a drought as we would not have lost so much xxxx
DeleteI love you bird bath photos - they made me smile :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jayne, I spend lot of time watching them in the birdbath on hot days
ReplyDeleteA lovely snapshot of your garden Meg and the trials and tribulations of the very hot summer you have experienced....I hope Autumn will be very kind to you and the garden. I too love watching the little birds at play they certainly know how to entertain...have you a great week.
ReplyDeleteYou take such wonderful pictures. They make the ordinary so special...the flowers and the birds...so very nice. Thank you for sharing your talents.
ReplyDeleteOh those baby birds are too sweet.
ReplyDeleteThe birds usre were enjoying splashing around. My cats sleep like yours as well, and I think it is cute how they cover their eyes.
ReplyDeleteYour bird pictures are just stunning and that view - wow!
ReplyDeleteThank you Julia xxxx
DeleteThose baby birds..sooo sweet!!We are losing a Pittosporum which has been in front of my sewing room window for 15 years, but this last heat wake has been too much for it, and half the tree is dead.I am sad because the New Holland Honey eaters have built nests there for all those years.I am going to miss seeing the babies!I hate to see a tree die!
ReplyDeleteMeg,
ReplyDeleteThe photo of your newest thrifty find is what drew me to your post, dear one!
Your photography is exquisite!
I adore Sascha!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Thank you Pat xx
