Found little Treasure

We visited so many charity shops in our week away I had forgotten about this little book I picked up at the Balhannah Anglicare Shop. I found it yesterday in the back seat of the car. It was $2 and was published in 1904. How cute! This shop was probably the most competitive I have been to...it's tucked away from the town's main street...but before opening there were locals clutching baskets pressed up against the door and were glaring at the out-of towners from the big smoke!!

...and if Balhannah was a tough crowd.... Mannum (on the River Murray) was the smelliest...Mr VL couldn't get out of there fast enough

Found on the Last day of the Trip

Back to the big smoke and 2 cute, but flawed pieces, I found in a country market. The  vintage clock is a bit stiff, and the old leather tape can't be pulled but I LOVE the patina on the case. It's made in England by a company called Chesterman

A Country Idyll

We have been scouring the Adelaide Hills for Op-shops . I reckon we have been to about 10 in 2 days. Slim pickins really but I found a shop in Murray Bridge called Hangars O.M.G. it was packed to the rafters with STUFF. I didn't know where to start. I found this solid crystal clock by Bohemia for $2.99 at Aldgate Salvo's

A wooden blotter

A vintage needle and thimble holder

An old leather needle holder
